“On a somewhat humid spring evening in June, a group of hungry Florence Foodies took over the sidewalk dining area at YUMM Thai Sushi for an evening of fun, food, and drink. Florence Foodies will meet at Yumm Thai Sushi and Beyond on August 13th – and tickets for the event sold out within fifteen minutes. Chef Paul has planned a special evening with items that are not currently on the menu, and artist Tommy Mathis will paint live during the evening, and those two events were enough to make the phones ring and tickets go for the event.
“This is a record for Florence Foodies,” said Teryl Shields, Executive Director of Florence Main Street, the organization that created Florence Foodies. “We’ve never had an event sell this quickly, and I think it’s because the people who know Yumm know that this will be special…and those who have never been there have heard so much about it. We think it’s going to be a great evening!”
The next Florence Foodies event is planned for September. Check here for photos from the event in August!
